General Data’s manufacturing facilities are located at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati Ohio.
Here we utilize the latest pre-press, on-press and finishing technologies to produce a comprehensive
array of labels, including thermal transfer, direct thermal, laser/inkjet, and specialty/custom labels.
We draw from an extensive selection of material resources and technologies so our channel partners
can deliver the right custom labeling solution at the right price.
Materials: papers and synthetics, formulated for thermal transfer, direct thermal or laser/inkjet printing.
Adhesives: formulations for any surface, environment, or application need.
Topcoats: to enhance printability or provide added durability.
Colors: pre-print logos, graphics or floodcoats in process colors or Pantone
Matching System® (PMS) inks.
Sizes: our extensive die library contains a range of shapes and sizes, or
we can produce a new die to any specification.
Finishing: our automated processes can produce labels in sheets,
fanfolded, or on standard or “small-core” rolls quickly and economically.
Digital pre-press: we can help you design or prepare your digital artwork
to ensure the labels are produced to the highest standards of quality.
But we’re more than just a label converter. Our channel partners rely on us to help them deliver the
right label for their customer’s application – and it often involves harsh environments, unusual
surfaces, or extreme handling. At our research and development laboratory, General Data’s label
product engineers utilize advanced equipment for product formulation, analysis and testing in order
to meet our channel partners’ customer application requirements. Our lab capabilities include:
- Industry-standard physical testing of products for certification
- Simulation of application environments for analysis and testing, including extended abrasion, extreme heat and cold, and chemical exposure
- Print testing to determine optimal label/ink/ribbon combinations
- Precision engineering of adhesives, materials, and topcoats to match application requirements and customer needs
